intercom for the helmets

My buddies and I are finally going to go touring to the next state, and we want to get some intercoms for our helmets.

There are five of us and we don't want to play charades on the road! So, spill the beans guys.

are any of you already in the know and using helmet intercoms?

If so, what kind have you got, and would you give it your seal of approval? We're all ears for recommendations!

Cardo for me. threw out my Sena after a year or two because it won't hold a charge

If you're on a budget, some of the sena models may hold up alright

That sounds like an awesome trip ahead! I'm also using Cardo,I switched from my Sena since it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. The range and battery life on the Cardo have been really reliable for our group rides.

Are you all considering a mesh intercom or just standard Bluetooth? What's your budget for each unit?

Mesh systems work better when you have a lot of people. Just a heads-up though, stick to one brand if you can, saves you from weird connection issues later on
